エントロピーとは、ものごとが次第に秩序を失い、ばらばらになっていく傾向のこと。
身のまわりのあらゆるものが、少しずつ形を変え、混ざり合い、やがて均質になっていく――そんな現象です。
私たちは、その変化のなかに、ふと現れる「一時のかたち」や「とどまろうとする力」に、静かな美しさを感じています。
「とろとろ」という言葉には、形がありながらも不安定で、ゆっくりと流れ、溶けていくような感覚があります。
液体と固体のあいだのような、曖昧で、やわらかく、どこか人肌のような感触です。
ENTORO designは、
「とろとろと崩れていく過程での秩序だった美の存在＝エントロピー増大に抗う存在の美しさ」
をテーマに活動する創作ユニットです。
私たちは、ゆらぎや流動性のあるフォルムをもつランプやプロダクトをデザインし、
そこに自然物（石・木・土）やテクノロジー（3Dプリンタ、AI、3Dスキャナ）を組み合わせて、
静かに変化しつづけるような作品を制作しています。
「崩れていくもののなかに、まだ残っているかたち」。
そんなものを、私たちは見つめ、かたちにしようとしています。
拠点は北海道。自然に囲まれた静かな環境の中で、創作に取り組んでいます。
Entropy describes the natural tendency of things to lose order over time—gradually dispersing, blending, and becoming uniform.
We see it all around us: shapes shifting, boundaries softening, materials mixing.
But within this process, we find quiet beauty. A fleeting structure, a subtle resistance, a moment of form that persists.
“Torotoro” is a Japanese onomatopoeia that describes a soft, semi-fluid state—something that holds its shape just barely, while slowly melting or flowing.
It suggests something in-between: between solid and liquid, stable and unstable, clear and ambiguous.
ENTORO design is a creative unit exploring the idea that:
“There is beauty in the fleeting order that appears as things fall apart—beauty in resisting the increase of entropy.”
We design fluid, softly structured lighting objects and installations that incorporate both natural materials (like stone, wood, or soil) and digital technologies such as 3D printers, scanners, and AI.
In the quiet breakdown of form, we look for what still holds. What still glows. What still resists.
Based in Hokkaido, Japan, our work is shaped by the surrounding nature and the stillness it brings.
